Sesame- Oatmeal Cookies

Yield: 8 dozen cookies

3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
2 cups granulated white sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups quick cooking oats
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup toasted sesame seeds


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream butter and sugar; add eggs and water, mixing well. In a separate bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients (flour through salt). Blend into wet mixture until well combined.

3. Stir in pecans and sesame seeds.

4. Drop spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 15 minutes, or until light brown.
