Backyard Grilling Party

Summertime means ‘outdoor eating,’ and there’s nothing better than having a group of friends over for a casual evening barbecue.   Break out the clay pots & fill them with sand for easy decor (candles sit in there easily).  If it’s breezy, place hurricane glass around the candle.  A simple ribbon strip glued around the edge of the pot adds some color.  All of those things can be purchased rather cheaply at WalMart or craft stores.  I like to start w/ a white tablecloth and add color from there.  A brightly colored runner (check the clearance sections in home stores!) or a long strip of material can easily add all of the color you need.

Everything can be prepped ahead of time for this menu… the steak and salmon marinate & are thrown on the grill as the gratin comes out of the oven.  The dessert can be served at room temperature.   For recipes with photos, click on recipe titles below.
