Food Porn Daily and Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls
Are you a fan of Food Porn Daily, the website where you can view a droolworthy food photo, click, drool again, and repeat? A brand new food photo (that will have you wanting to lick the screen) is added to the site every day. Amanda Simpson is the author of that website, and now she has published a cookbook, sharing more food porn with the world. Amanda has generously offered to give one of my readers a copy of her new cookbook. (This giveaway is now closed)

In her book, Simpson describes food porn as a high-resolution, close-up image of any food that gets your salivary glands flowing, whether it’s a huge, juicy cheeseburger or a healthy-yet-flavorful piece of grilled fish. She doesn’t include recipes on her website. The purpose is to merely temp you to observe and salivate. The cookbook is such a nice surprise for the millions of readers of Food Porn Daily because now both photographs and recipes are shared with you. The Food Porn Daily cookbook includes hundreds of pages of tantalizing food photos and detailed recipes for things like Blueberry- Cornmeal Pancakes with Blueberry- Star Anise Maple Syrup, Gooey Pineapple Flambé Monkey Bread, Rosemary and Sea Salt Soft Pretzels with Mustard Stout Cheese Dip, Sweet and Tangy Hickory Smoked Baby Back Ribs with Homemade BBQ Sauce, Uber Creamy Salami and Chevre Macaroni and Cheese, and Chewy Brown Butter Cookies with Milk Chocolate Chunks, Toffee and Hazelnut. I’ve chosen to make Food Porn Daily‘s recipe for Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls with Maple Icing.

These cinnamon rolls rocked my house. I made them one day, we ate them for dessert that night, and then we ate them again for breakfast the following morning. Tender and sweet and cinnamony, and the perfect amount of maple icing drizzled on top.
This recipe can be found here: Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls with Maple Icing
If you’d like to be entered for a chance to win a copy of the new Food Porn Daily Cookbook, here’s what you must do…
The winner of the cookbook will be selected randomly at the end of the day on Sunday, November 7th. Good luck! This giveaway is now closed! The winner selected via random.org is commenter #158 Amanda L. Congrats! Thanks to all for entering
If you’d like to purchase your own copy of the book, you’ll find it here: Food Porn Daily Cookbook.

I'm Lori Lange, recipe developer, food writer and Mom. I'm sharing over 2,500 of my favorite recipes and theme menus with you.

I would love to win this book!
I am in the US Air Force and a huge foodie. My passion for food started when I was a child. I enjoyed being in the kitchen in my grandparents house and remember the aromatics of the dishes they made. I remember going to the library to read Bon Appétit, Gourmet and Food & Wine magazines. I was fascinated at how good the dishes were presented and could imagine the taste. I also remember watching cooking shows on PBS (prior to there being Food Network and the Cooking Channel).
When I was in high school I was in the Cooking Club and my first job was in a steakhouse. As most, I started out bussing tables, washing dishes and eventually working my way to the line. I planned to attend culinary school right out of high school, but put it on hold for some unknown reason. Two years later I enlisted in the Air Force (1997). Shortly after arriving at my first duty location I discovered Food Network and was instantly hooked.
I will attend recreational cooking classes at a few of the universities that offer such classes. After retirement from the Air Force, I plan on using the Post 9/11 GI Bill to attend culinary school. Upon graduation I would like to open a restaurant in Denver, CO (I was stationed in Denver from 2004-08 and fell in love with it and many of its restaurants).

I do believe you had this wonderful recipe on your blog about 2 years ago? I made it for when my granddaughters were visiting over Thanksgiving. The youngest, being the picky eater she is, did not eat her breakfast so she did not get a pumpkin cinnamon roll. To this day I feel bad, both for her and for my excitement in serving such a delectable treat. The fun of cooking is seeing people’s response to your endeavor. I’m going to make them again, but that’s all we’ll have for breakfast. Thanks recipe girl! Nancy Till

I’m trying to cut down on white flour, sugar, and saturated fat but I love food and desserts especially. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for Thanksgiving as I get tired of the same menu every year even if it is all good stuff. Time for a twist and healthier would be better. Would love to check out the book.
