Hamburgers with Cabernet and Sauteed Onions


4 medium onions, chopped
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1 1/2 pounds ground lean ground beef
1 1/2 pounds ground lean sirloin
1 cup cabernet sauvignon
2 teaspoons celery salt
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme


1. Sauté onions in butter until just browned (about 12 minutes). Mix with remaining ingredients, and form into 8 patties.

2. Grill on hot barbecue until desired doneness. Serve on buns with desired fixings.
