Sauteed Cherry Tomatoes

Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon olive oil
4 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
2 teaspoons sugar (or less to taste, depending on sweetness of tomatoes)
1 clove garlic, minced
2 Tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh basil
salt and ground black pepperDirections:
Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add tomatoes and sugar and cook, tossing frequently, until tomatoes are hot, about 1 minute. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Off heat, stir in basil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve.
